Chest X-ray Report Says Partial Clearing On The Right Apex, Minimal Residual Shadow. History Of PTB. Need To Continue Medication?

Hi Doc, may i ask the meaning of the findings i had in my last CXR: partial clearing on the upper right apex and minimal residual shadows. I have a history of PTB before and was already treated, my sputum was also negative but my doctor still advised me to continue the treatment. Now, i am confused on the result of my CXR.

Are you still on TB treatment. Partial clearing means that the earlier lesions have healed partially but some pathology is still persisting. You should continue the treatment as advised by the doctor as some times it takes little longer than usual for the TB lesions to heal.
