Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Chest Pain, Tightness On Left Side, Weakness In Arms, Pain In Shoulder Blade
When I eat only at supper time I get a sharp moving pain in my chest and a tightness both on my left side, and my left arm becomes feeling weak. The next morning I am sore and it aches in my muscles on my back left shoulder blade. It has only happened twice, but I am 28 yrs old and am overweight . I have three wonderful kids and when it happened the second time it scared me I do not have health insurance as I am just a single mom and student.
More information is required, particularly about other associated problems and co-existing medical conditions.
However, it appears to be either angina while eating (called cibal-angina) or, GERD (gastro-esophageal-reflux disease). Another possibility of Cervicalgia (pain and inflammation of neck, shoulder and chest muscles) cannot be ruled out.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable treatment.
If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
