While on chemotherapy, the effects of the drugs are seen only on the body of the person who is taking the chemotherapy. The effects are not transmitted to others through contact or through air. Your daughter can safely play with her grandmother without worrying for the side effects.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

My husband has been under chemo treatments for 6 months now after colon cancer was found after obstruction and removal of colon and in the last 2 weeks he has not ate well been having trouble with dehydration and anxiety. The last 3 days are of him non-stop talking, from things he wants to do to god knows what. Not a person can get a word in and if you try he will walk away and get sick.... I told him it was like dealing with a spoiled rude baby... he just kept on talking about the sewer system. Is this a sign the cancer has spread to his brain - He said he will not go back to the Dr. cause the chemo is the problem.

Hi, I am a cancer patient undergoing radiation and chemo, and I have broken skin, thus I have a risk of infection. I was on antibiotics for 4 weeks just prior to the cancer treatments, and I think I may need a probiotic due to a bloated feeling when I eat. The pharmacist at my hospital warned me against taking probiotics due to risk of septic infection. When I search the Internet, I see that septic infection from probiotics was in rare instances: people who had dental surgery, or babies who had injections of the probiotic. Do you think taking a probiotic orally in a capsule would pose a risk for my situation? Thanks very much.
Have you heard of taking dipirydamole (cardoxin) concurrent with doxorubicin to prevent (circumvent) drug resistance or MDR? have you ever prescribed dipirydamole any of your patients taking this chemo drug? if so why not? Any other tricks up your sleeve to prevent or reverse this bane of chemotherapy called drug resistance or MDR? Looking foreward to your answer
I am on my third weekly treatment of chemotherapy, and have 9 more weeks to go. I have never had digestion or reflux problems before, but I am experiencing constipation, gas, reflux and burping. Is there anything over the counter I can take, especially for reflux? Reflux has prompted vomiting, and I want to avoid that. I would rather not take ranitidine or additional prespecriptions if I can help it.
