Cesearian Done, Pus And Water Developed Under Incision. Cure?
Underwent cesearian on 22nd March. Incision seems ok but a few areas underneath the incision develop pus/watery. This is my second c sect. My first was in dec 2006 and I have had similar experience where pus was developed in the area underneath the incision - probably about 1 or 2 cm underneath the scar . Any explanation?
Thanks for writing to us.
Mild collection of fluid near the scar line after a cesarean section can be due to a reactive discharge. Such mild fluid collection heals on its own by an open dressing using an antiseptic powder like neosporin powder. Try to keep the area dry and avoid any infection in the area.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
