Cause Of Pain In Shoulder And Arm Despite Using Ice Pack?

I am experiencing severe pain In my shoulder and the pain is radiating into my arm , very difficult to use the arm can't even lift the arm , it is very painful. I do have spurs in both shoulder, could this be causing the pain.? I've been using ice pack all day on and off. I just took an Aleve, and was wondering could I also apply Voltaren Gel? Would this help or Can I not use it with the Aleve.I also have a prescription left over for hydrocodone/Acetaminiophen 5-500 TB could I use it, it expired on 12/10/13? Thank You For your time

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears that you must be having cervical spondylosis,it is causing pressure on the nerves,and the pain.Don't try to use the expiry date medicines.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I, for confirmation.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically along with other medicines.
Avoid taking potato,other tubers, tomato,egg, chicken,and sea foods,till the pains are completely cleared.
