Cause For Fibroid On The Uterus?

I have digestive problems. Dr. Believes I have a haital hernia due to a severe injury while shovelling snow last year. But I have now been told I also have a 9 cm. fibroid on top of my uterus. Can this be causing my my digestive distress. I was fine until I injured myself shovelling. I am menopausal female aged 53. I present with symptoms if burping and ibs.

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
No your digestive symptoms are unlikely to be because of fibroid. if you have no bleeding issues being menopausal this fibroid can only cause pressure symptoms in your pelvis like frequency of urine, urgency or incontinence. If none is there & it is an incidental finding just do a follow up scan after 6 months to see if it is growing or not.
Continue with your medical treatment.
Hope you get well soon.
