Cause For Continuous Cough And Sore Throat?
Hello Dr. My husband has coughing spelling all the time, we have went to specialist, our physicians, we have went to allergy specialist and can figure this out. When he gets hot he coughs and has trouble breathing. Now he has a cough with a very bad sore throat, we have tried a lot of different over the counter cough .des and also have tried the sprays and nothing is helping him. Is there any other over the counter meds that can help him? We have giving up on specialist and the meds they are prescribing him. Please help me help my husband he is a hard working man taking are of our kids and the bills. He needs help so please help us!????

He has upper respiratory tract infection. It leads to sore throat and cough. He need antibiotic treatment to control it. Azithromycin, levofloxacin. cephalosporin or amoxiclav can be used to treat this. Antihistaminic drugs like cetrizine or chlorpheneramine malate are useful. These all are prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
