Canker Sores, Vaginal Discomfort, Lesion On Vulva, Swelling, Soreness, Had Bacterial Infection. Tested For Herpes. What Is Wrong?

Hello, I went to the doctor today because I'm having a lot of vaginal discomfort. I have a brownish discharge and it burns when I pee. I also have some swelling and soreness in the lymph node on the right side of my body, between my vagina and my leg. The doctor told me that I had a lesion on my vulva and was concerned that it might be herpes. She is testing me for herpes, and also diagnosed me with a bacterial infection. I forgot to mention to her that i have frequent canker sores (i almost always have one or more) and that I have been having more canker sores recently. This is such a common thing for me that I didn't even think to say something about the canker sores. I looked at the vaginal lesion in the mirror and it looks like a canker sore. I've been doing some research, and my question is, could this be bechet's disease?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Patient ,

Canker sores , or Aphthous stomatitis is a hole mark of Bechet's disease but According to the International Study Group guidelines, for a patient to be diagnosed with Behçet's disease, the patient must have oral (aphthous) ulcers (any shape, size, or number at least 3 times in any 12 months period) along with 2 out of the following 4 "hallmark" symptoms:

genital ulcers (including anal ulcers and spots in the genital region and swollen testicles or epididymitis in men)
skin lesions (papulo-pustules, folliculitis, erythema nodosum, acne in post-adolescents not on corticosteroids)
eye inflammation (iritis, uveitis, retinal vasculitis, cells in the vitreous)
pathergy reaction (papule >2 mm dia. 24-48 hrs or more after needle-prick). The pathergy test has a specificity of 95% to 100%, but the results are often negative in American and European patients.

i recommend you to stay in contact with your gynecologist, and mention to your doctor your canker sores history .

best regards ,
Ahmad
Ps : international criteria for Behcet was taken from wiki .
