Can you give me any advice on heart pains ?

I am 15 years old and a few times a day I get pains in my heart some can last for about 15mins or so. I have been to my gp but he says not to worry about it, i will just grow out of it he also said that the heart will be slowing down or sometimes could stop for a second. I am not very reassured that my heart can stop for a second but i am not to worry about it.Can you offer me any advice Ive had an ecg but that was fine and have had pains for about 3 months

Hi, I'm 14 I use to have chest pains all the time that lasted over 20 mins or so i had chest pains since i was 9.(i've grown out of them now & i'm sure u will too) When i did get chest pains all my ecg's came back fine though. But do not worry too much, anxiety can cause a lot of chest pain or being stressed about something. I use Gaviscon still (peppermint capsules) u can get them on ur prescription for Free.(there r all forms of gaviscon, tablet or liquid) Here is a pic of gaviscon cool: these r a bit cheaper & r sold in poundland(99p store) & superdrug: http://www.gaviscon.co.uk/images/products/gaviscon_cool_handy_pack.jpg Good luck & best wishes marshalminxtk3 xxx

I ve been experiencing what I can only describe as a fluttering of my heart. It isn t painful at all, no chest constrictions. Yet every minute or so it does feel as if everything kind of slows, then makes me take a deep breath, followed by a slight feeling of light headiness. I am a 32 year old male, active, in good health. My friends are urging emergency care, yet I don t wish to overreact. I have been told in the past by my physician that I have a slightly enlarged heart, and so I don t feel this may be too far outside of regular. Though I have not experienced this before, and it has been since last night. I only had one cup of coffee this morning so I don t believe it s caffeine related. Anyway, any advice would be welcome.

Frequent skipped heartbeats that take my breath away for a split second. I am only 17 and I am worried my heart is going to stop. I have had 2 ECGs and blood taken as well as blood pressure, pulse etc. Doctor said everything is fine and they are normal, but I can t stop worrying about my heart.

I am sixteen and one day at football practice my heart seemed to beat way harder than normal, i could feel it through my whole body and when i felt my chest i could feel my heart beat way more than ever, and i also had chest discomfort and anxiety, ever since then my heart seems to beat harder all the time, and after exercise it takes longer to calm down, i will also get random chest discomforts on certain days,my EKG, holter moniter, and event moniter results have came back normal, but months after that day at practice my heart continues to beat hard, and when i feel my friends hearts through their chests i can barely feel theirs beat,is there anything that could cause this change, because my heart never did that before.

43 year old female, normal weight in good health. .Total hysterectomy done Dec. 2010, benign ovarian mass; 2 weeks after episode of PSVT, then next week chest pain and spasms. 1 episode of tachycardia of 140's bpm sustained for 1 hour. Preop ekg normal and new ekgs show slight t wave changes. Checked for PE, CT clear and lower ultrasound clear. ECHO 67% EF, normal nuclear and treadmill stress test, normal cardiac cath, carotid us. TSH was 5.4 at the beginning of Jan. but returned to 2.3 2 wks later. Taking Cartia 120 mg once daily and Metoprol 12.5 bid. Sent to cardio EP, who states that condition is due to low sodium levels and advised to up sodium. Sodium levels taken 3xs over this period have been between 133 -135. Intermittent slight chest pain continues, returning to work next week. Primary care does not believe it is due to low sodium levels, doing 24 hr osmality and sodium tests. Is there anything else we should look for?
