My mom was diagoned with cervical cancer in 2009 recieved chemo and radiation and was in remission for 3 months then the cancer came back in the orginal spot and she had to have a total pelvic exteneration in 2010 and now we had a CAT scan for various complications from the surgery. The CAT scan showed a 4centimeter soft tissue mass near her aorta. We have follow up testing scheduled. I am wondering in part b/c I have never heard of this, if this is common and can you take chemo and radiation or it would radiation damage the aorta? Just trying to find some answers or someone who is in a similar situation and can t find much on the net. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I had a cardiac cath today. I have a bicuspid aorta, with moderate stenosis- so no replacement valve for a few more years. 14 hours later (middle of the night) my rt. big toe really hurts. Should I do something about this?
I have noticed the odd missing heart beat over the years. However, they are more frequent than they used to be. Two years ago I was monitored for 24 hours, which gave 17000 missed beats during that time. Since then I have had an Aortic valve replaced which had no effect on my problem. They are now quite intrusive at times, enough to make me feel a little light headed. DOB 1934. Thanks Jefferey Franklin
