Hello Gagan ,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic forum .
Your daughter most probably has a bacterial respiratory infection since her symptoms are not resolving with supportive treatment.
Such respiratory infection does need to be treated with apropriate course of antibiotics .
However powergyl is an antibiotic more suitable for
gastroenteritis and I would advise you not tyo start it without your doctors advise.
First of all remember that respiratory infections may lead to complications like pneumonia,
bronchiolitis etc which can only be picked up early by a detailed physical examination by a doctor.
He might then prescribe you apropriate antibiotics like
azithromycin or cephalosporins or amoxicillin etc.In addition to this he might prescribe appropriate
bronchodilator and expectorant syrup like salbutamol and ambroxol in doses based on weight of your daughter, to provide her faster relief.
So kindly consult her
pediatrician for evaluation and management to be on the safer side.
Meanwhile do maintain her hydration by giving her plenty of water and nutritious diet.
You may try giving her steam inhalations, saline drops and saline gargles for soothing relief.
Wishing her a speedy recovery.
Regards
