Can Valsalva Manoeuvre Cause Visual Abnormalities?
My 27 year old son is telling me that he had an episode of visual changes for about 15 minutes this evening. Described as a tendril of scintillating light (red, blue and white) moving from the periphery to the focus of eyes for about 15 minutes. It migrated up in his visual field and then dissipated. He is wondering if it could be related to a valsalva maneuver. thank you

The Valsalva method does not cause visual abnormalities at all, there must be something different which should be elicited with an expert ophthalmologist.
