Can Vaginal Boils Suggest Herpes?

about 2 months ago, i started getting boil looking things on the left lip of my vagina. I haven't gotten them anywhere else down there. I don't think it is herpes because 1) i went to a clinic and the doctor looked at it and said she wasn't concerned and 2) from looking and researching genital herpes, it doesn't sound like thats what it is. these are under the skin, and sometimes look like white heads, but at the same time a bump. they hurt a little too. the first one i got, got REALLY big, and i popped it and puss came out. does anyone know what these could be?? could they be herpes?

thank you for query. It may be simple folliculitis by the description given of single pus filled lesion.it may be due to friction or shaving area .It is unlikely to be herpes as it can present as grouped vesicles, associated with painful or itching or burning sensation. So please use topical antibiotic like fucidin or silverex.if necessary oral antibiotics on consultation with doctor can be taken.Keep the area clean by washing with warm water twice daily. You can get back directly to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist.
