Can Travelling By Sea Aggravate A Recurring Labrynthitis?

hi I was diagnosed with Labrynthitis a month ago this is the third time this year. I am still suffering from nausea and dizziness unless I take the tablets. I am going on a cruise in two weeks and I tend to get sea sick anyway. Will the affects caused by Labrynthitis get worse whilst at sea

Hello,

Sea travel can worsen the symptoms of labrynthitis. You can take over the counter available antihistamines like promethazine just before starting the journey. Small sips of water while travelling will helps for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
