my son is a lifeguard, he does not wear a hat and is out in the sun all day. Can too much sun cause hair loss . He looks like he is thinning, he is nineteen

Your worry as a parent is definitely justified. You tell your son that direct sun rays arenot good for skin hair and eyes He should wear a cap can purchase a cap of his choice. wear goggles to protect eyes and a sunscreen with atleast 35 SPF for protection against sunrays . He should supplement his diet with lots of fuit green leafy vegetables and protein rich diet like soyabeans pulses milk egg etc.
