Hello, I visited my ENTA last week due to Gerds. After the examine he asked if I had every had my tonsils removed. I told him no. He said they are no longer there. He said they can get smaller and disappear. Is this true. I am 48 years old.
Hi, Welcom to Healthcaremagic.com. Normally tonsills are not that mush big so that everyone can see. These are lymphoid tissue big in those patients who have upper respiratory tract infection tendencies . In your case they must be silent and very small in size Ana non recognizable during general examination . You don't need to worry, they are there if in any case they have atrophied still there is nothing to worry.
Hope you will be satisfied with the answer and will write to us for any further query.
