Can Tonsillectomy Cause Numbness And Pain Under Tongue?

Hello. I am 41 and had a tonsillectomy 8 days ago. My throat feels fine, but I have excruciating pain under my tongue. I can t eat or swallow. My tongue feels numb and tingly as well. I am on pain killers, but it does not help with this. Is this normal? Is there some kind of damage done to my tongue?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that this could be a refer pain and this type of pain is likely in post surgical even but this is nothing to worry because this would come around soon hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
