Can Thyroid And Myopathy Pass On From Mother To Fetus?

Hi I am Veena , My age is 32 , Ht: 5'2" ,Wt: 79.6 KGs . Medical History : Thyroid under control by medicine for last 15yrs.

I have 2 children and I am pregnant with the third one now. My Daughter is 9yrs old.My son is 8yrs old. My daughter is suffering from Myopathy which was by birth. My son had no issues. I am worried about the one I am carrying. Are there any scans that You would suggest I take to make sure this baby is ok? Please Advise.

Welcome to healthcare-magic

many of the congenital myopathy are usually mitochondrial disorders.
Diagnosis by Ultrasound scan is not possible.
Choriocentesis or Amniocentesis may be helpful in diagnosis.
