Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has indwelling Foley's catheter to drain his bladder and has sensation to pass urine and few there is leakage of urine by the side of a catheter.

This is due to spasm of the bladder secondary to irritation of catheter in his urethra and considered to be normal to happen when there is catheter in urethra,

Please give him medication like Oxybutinine once daily .

This will prevent bladder spasm and relieve his symptoms.
