Can The Epilepsy Medicines, Dialitin And Lobazam, Cause Brittle Teeth And Redness In Gums?

My friend of 30 year under Epilipsy treatment taken Dialitin capusle 200 mg daily for last 4 year and now taking Lobazam 10 mg only for last 3 months.Side effects seen is breaking of teath, There is also redness in gums.Is this because of taking of this king of medicen ?what r remides or precaution should be taken.

Gingival hyperplagia is a side effect of this drug (Dilantin) but not lobazam. You can taper down dilantin and take alternate medicine. Talk to your neurologist.
