Can The Difference Between The Opiates In Nurofen And The Opiates In Cocaine Be Identified ?
Hi, I have failed a recent drug test for my furure employer. I took two nurofen plus capules 30 hours earlier. Can the doctors tell the difference between the opiates in Nurofen and the opiates in coccaine? They have sent a urine sample to Perth for more testing. I have a nervious wait and have nothing to hide.

Drug tests generally produce false positive opioid results in 5% to 10% of cases and false negatives in 10% to 15% of cases. In ur case, u were on nurofen, that could give the false positive test, but cocaine is cocaine, you don’t get many false positives or false negatives with cocaine. U should tell them about the use of nurofen before testing, that could help u.
