i have a huge bump on my lower outter lip that has been tested for herpes came back negitive.. i dont experiance any pain with it just umcomforatble and hidious. is this a polyp or a mucocel cyst?? and how can i treat this untill my dermentoligist appt at the end of jan.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a bump on the lip can be a Hemangioma [arteriovenous malformation] or a fibrous tissue overgrowth causing a Fibroma or it can be a mucocele if it is at the inner margin of the lip.. Chances of a cyst are a bit less and above explained are the most common causes.. You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated an a Biopsy or FNAC can help in giving a correct diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly and will be most probably surgical to remove the lesion..
Hope this information helps..
