Can The BP Fluctuation Be Due To Pre-menopause?

hi, i am 43 years working woman, Indian national. I have pressure fluctuation fr the last 10 days ranging reading as 150/95, 145/90, 150/100, 132/82, 148/82. I have some work tensions and had few wories. I had SVT and ablation done in Aug 2013. 1) would like to know that is it due to pre-menopause ( not sure, my FSH was 7 in Aug 13)? 2) any related SVT treated? 3) Anything else?

Hello,

Your FSH levels of 7 do not suggest about menopause. So, if you need not worry about the same.

I will suggest you to:
- Opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen.
- Include more portions of fruits and vegetables and salads in daily diet.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Avoid refined sugars and deep fried foods and bakery products in the diet.
- Meditate regularly.
- Think positive.
- Try to indulge in creative activities.
- Keep regular watch on blood pressure records.

If levels remain above 90 diastolic pressures, then please seek consultation from your internal medicine consultant. SVT medications should be continued as per your doctor's advice.

If you start getting any of the menopausal symptoms- palpitations, night sweats and hit flashes or vaginal dryness, then please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for phytoestrogens.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
