Can Thalassemia Minor Patient Marry Cousin Who Does Not Have Thalassemia Minor?

Hello.I have and I wanted to ask about the marriage system here. In my religion cousins marriages are allowed. So can someone like me marry a first cousin who does NOT have thalassemia minor ? and what chances are there for the baby to be abnormal or thalassemic as well ?

It is observed that when you marry to siblings variety of inborn error occurs in the coming babies.

Though your cousin do not have thalassemia it is likely that her gene contains the silent gene for thalesrmmia on her genomes.

When you marry your cousin this silent gene may get activated and cause thalassemia in your children.

Avoiding such situation may prevent you for this type of results.
