Can Taking Excedrin Lead To Upper Gastrointestinal Bleed?

Hi I had an upper gi bleed 2 years ago due to excedrin which I took for headaches almost everyday and it was the only thing that would help some. Then I developed a serious upper GI bleed due to the years of taking excedrin. I want to make sure it is ok to take oxycodone acetaminophen 5-325 ?

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern.

Yes Nsaids like Excedrin can lead to upper GI bleed. Prophylactic use of PPIs is recommended with pain meds like Nsaids. oxycodone acetaminophen 5-325 is relatively safer as far as GI bleed is concerned

wishing you best of health

Thanks
