Can Taking Essvit Biotin 5mg Helpful For Hairloss?

Hi, i m having alot of hair fall, i was dieting for weight loss and i hav lost 10 kgs in 4 months and was also under lot of stess due to my fathers illness, i hav started a multi vitamin called multi for her by nature made from 2 weeks, hair fall has decreased but still it is there, can i start essvit biotin 5mg
by ranbaxy, my multy also has 30mcg biotin, pls advice me asap

There are many things that can cause hair loss including biotin. Take a good B-complex pill and folic acid on top of that. Iron deficiency can cause hair loss. The problem with multi-vitamins is they are not well-absorbed so it is best to find source of deficiency. Now, anemia, thyroid disease can also cause hair loss. There are several things you can do. You can visit your doctor and get some blood work done to determine if you do have anemia which means you are iron, B12 or folic acid deficient. Have your TSH tested. Optimal ranges are around 2.5. If your hair is falling out by the roots, they more than likely will not grow back. This can also be caused by side-effects of medication. So, for now, make an appt. with your doctor, start taking b-complex and vitamin C, eat a balance healthy diet adequate in fruits vegetables lean protein, dairy, whole grains and adequate fluids.
