Can Taking A Protein Be A Possible Cause For The Lumps Under The Skin In The Arms Which Are Not Itchy?
have small size bumps under skin on both arms and near elbow area as well, size of a dime and firm to the touch, but they don't itch or burn but they seem to be spreading. Can taking a protein shake be a possible cause? This problem is on my nephews arms.
I would keep a possibility of Lipoma. They are benign tumors having their origin in the fat cells(adipocytes). Lipomas can be multiple in an individual. They are felt under the skin(better felt than seen), they are variably sized(can increase in size gradually), soft to firm, asymptomatic and slip under the fingers.
I don't think it is at all related to your dietary protein intake.
I would advice that you see a local practitioner who might ask you to undergo a Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology from one of the lesion, which would give you a confirmatory diagnosis.
