Can Taking A Huge Dose Of Eptoin Lead To Death?
hi I am sowmiya and I am 40 years suffering from epilepsy from past three years. and from past 2 years months I am taking eptoin. can you please tell me what happens if we take high dosage I mean all the tablets at a time?? because my sister is had a sucidal tendencies and she had take it. will it leads to death??

Death or severe morbidity rarely occurs with an intentional overdose as long as the patient receives good supportive care.
Overdosage of phenytoin can virtually affects almost all the organs of the body producing harmful effects the most important being fall in blood pressure, abnormal eye movements, depression of the heart, collapse.
Kindly consult a psychiatrist for the suicidal thoughts she is having as she might be having depression.
