Can Taking Tramadol And Lasix Be Treated For Blister Like Edema On The Legs?

My elderly mother has edema with numerous bullae. I wrap her legs daily. Suddenly she has a HUGE black bulla (9 x 6 ) on her calf. She s having leg spasms and a lot of pain. My mother is in an assisted living facility and is under Hospice care. She will take Tramadol every 3-4 hours and will begin 80 mg Lasix tomorrow. What is happening to her? Is death imminent?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The dark bulla could be due to an injury or a bruise. (if she is on painkillers bruises are common). If it ain't causing her much discomfort, I suggest you observe the lesion. But first have it reviewed by the concerned doctor too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
