Can Stomach Cramps And Lower Back Pain Post IUI Mean Pregnancy?
Hello Doctor,
I am 25 yrs old female. I have been done with IUI 13 days back. from day 1 till now I have stomach cramps and lower back pain. I have taken pregnancy test on 12th day but it shows one darker pink line and one light pink line. does it means negative? or still after 2-3 days I should repeat it.

Given that you are undergoing fertility treatment, the chance of pregnancy is markedly increased. I usually will tell patients that a pregnancy test will confidently indicate when you are pregnant about two weeks after conception. It sounds like this might represent a positive test, but you need to repeat the test when it has been at least two weeks. If it is still unclear OR if it is positive, then you need to contact your OB Provider for a blood test and for scheduling of an ultrasound.

Secondly, please wait till 14 days after IUI or till you reach your expected date of period and repeat test on morning's first sample of urine. Your present report is not negative, but can be called as weak positive.
Please start on Folic acid and B12 supplements.
