Can Stillbirth Cause Irregularity In Pregnancy Test Results?
hi,I am 22..... I missed 2 periods n I took a pregnancy test n it tasted positive then I took the abortion pill but there was no change, no abdominal cramps and no bleeding, so I took the pregnancy test again somewhere else and it was negative. . I got confused I did an ultrasound on the 6th week and the doctor said nothing showed here then on the 8th week I did the urine hcg test again and it was still negative.... I went to another hospital and the doctor did a transvaginal ultrasound and she said, my endometrial lining was thick... ans she said it might be a dead fetus.. so she told me I have to have a blood hcg test.... am so tired and confused. .m what could the possible reason be?
The other causes are: (1)abnormal levels of thyroid hormones (2)emotional stress or illness (3)high levels of prolactin hormone (4)physical illness (5)polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) (6)side effect of medication (7)high levels of physical activity
Blood tests to check hormone levels (thyroid, prolactin and assessment for PCOS) may be needed
I hope this helps
