Can Sticky, Mushy Stools With Dull Ache In Stomach Be Crohn S?

I have been suffering from sticky/mushy stools for a few months and I now have a dull ache on the right hand side that comes and goes (about a week). I do have ulcerative colitis/proctitis and every time I see my specialist I am told that I am suffering from constipation! But I go to the loo a few times a day so how is that possible?! I suspect that I have Crohn s not colitis, but I have been told that there is no way I have Crohn s. However, I still have strange symptoms and would like to know what you think this could be?

Hello,

Probably you may be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome or chronic colitis may be due to infection or inflammatory bowel disease.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get stool examination and upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Stool examination and culture sensitivity. Use tablet Ofloxacine and ornidazole twice a day for five days.

If you're symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
