Can Spicy Food Cause Sensitivity In Tongue During Pregnancy?
hello
im 7.5 months pregnant and the last couple of days the sides of my tonugue have been sensitive to salty foods with a burning/raw/blistered sensation. I just noticed ridges along the sides of my tongue. could spicy food cause this?
Hi, thanks for writing.. It is a common problem to have vitamin deficiency especially during late pregnancy.. Blisters in the tongue is due to vitamin deficiency.. You can take vitamin supplements rich in vit B12 along with local application of lignocaine gel along the side of the tongue.. it will resolve in a weeks time.. Curd and green leafy vegetables should be included in the diet.. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
