Can Smoking Result In Frequent Cold And Cough?

i have frequent cold and cough affects for every three months once and i have smoking habit also, i have to take any diagnostics test? or you have any precaution consultation to provide, even my father and grant father had same problem but not heavy only cough affects if any sweets they take. but for me is different, every three months severe cold my nose running and at the same time eyes will tears. then cough will start. please give me a permanent solution
