Can Slight Bleeding Be A Problem Caused From Bowl Resection Surgery?

I am estimated 6 weeks pregnant, due to see obgyn first time this wednesday. I had a bowl resection surgery in 2008. I also have a retroverted uterus following a healthy pregnancy in 2000. I am experiencing light bleeding off and on. Are there any risks from having the bowl resection surgery I should be concerned with?
