Can Sinus Infection Lead To Dark Mucus?
I have had a cough for a month and then developed a sinus infection. Was given a z pak last week and astepro. I also have been using a neti pot 2x/dat. My mucus has been every color and since Monday I have noticed tiny. Black grey like threads in my nasal mucus. Do you know what this is?

Colour change in mucus, such as white to yellow is an indicator of active infection.
Even in some conditions like atrophic rhinitis greenish mucus may be present.
Black thread like things may be due to old epithelial debris.
