Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Pain and discomfort in the ears may be due to infection or eustachian tube block or due to retracted tympanic membrane or middle ear effusion. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet sinarest twice a day for five days (if you're hypertensive don't take). Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
