Can Severe Fatigue Be A Sign Of Thyroid Disorder?

Hi, just wondering if a lifetime of poor quality, little or no sleep could be a symptom of thyroid disease. I have exhausted all other attempts to find a cause. I have a sister with hashimoto disease. It would appear that no one else in the family suffers with thyroid disease. Thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that thyroid disease is playing a role in your symptoms but this would need to be checked with blood tests for TSH and thyroid hormone levels.

You should also consider seeing a sleep specialist doctor for assessment as well.

A sleep study may be needed.

I hope this helps
