Can Scar Tissue Cause Choked Sensation After Tonsillectomy And Adenoidectomy?

Hello. I am 4 weeks post op a tonscillectomy and adenoidectomy. I ve had my 2 week check up and doc says I m healing well. The past week I ve had this feeling that I have something stuck on the right side of my throat. After having my husband look also it appears to us there is still a piece of tonsil or something back there? Could he have not gotten it all or could it be scar tissue and if so, will that go away? Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your query.
It's very unlikely that a tonsil tissue is left over after the surgery.
It can be the scar tissue or Slough in the tonsillar fossa.
I would advise you to consult with the doctor and get evaluated . Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
