Can Resuming The Intake Femodette Contraceptive Pill After A Month Long Break Still Be Effective?

I have taken a one month break from my Femodette contraceptive pill due to surgery. I had a period just after I finished my last pack, but this month I have not yet had a period! Can I start taking my pill again now and if start taking it again now, when will I be protected again?

hi
thanks for healthcare magic

After one month of surgery u can start ur pill, but it wouldnot be effective as it was before. If you miss a pill, take the pill as u follow. missing two or more pills or starting the pack two or more days late may affect your contraceptive cover. In particular, if you make the seven-day pill-free break longer by forgetting two or more pills, your ovaries might release an egg and there is a risk of getting pregnant. If you are not sure what to do, continue to take your pill and use another method of contraception, such as condoms, and seek advice as soon as possible.

thanks
