Can Redness At The Injection Site For Mantoux Test Indicate A Positive Report?
Hi~
My 11 year old daughter had a mantoux test. I did not notice a bump 48-72 hrs after the test, but 5 days later she pointed out a pale pink rash about the size of a dime at injection area. We had her retested yesterday. 24 hours later, she has a pale pink rash at the injection site, about half the size of the previous one. No hardness or bump. Is this indicative of a positive result?
hi, Dr. Boskey Gandhi is here, montoux test is positive, when your reaction at injection area is >=10mm with bump after 48hrs of injection. so according to your description, ,I think the test is negative .so be relax! !!!
