Can Rectal Bleeding Be A Symptom Of An Internal Hemorrhoid?

One time rectal bleed, including small clot. No pain, bleed stopped with no recurrence. Hysterectomy 20-30 years ago. No problem moving bowels. Diabetic andobese. Could this be internal hemorrhoid that bled? Thank you.
