Can Protein In The Urine Be Due To Overdose Of Medicines?
hi i have 2 months old baby now with emergency c section. because during my pregnancy s 34 th week doctors found urine protein and high blood pressure. before 34 th week of mu pregnancy there were no history regarding preeclampsia. so due to this they gave me high level of strong medicines and injections. i hade two epidurals and one spinal injection on the time of surgery. now i checked after 6 weeks with all blood n urine test and doctor found protein still in urine and level of ALT is 68.i am concerned about ALT level. can it be due to overdose of medicines injections at time of c section or blood infusion. bcz after surgery they gave me 3 units of blood infusion. can it become normal?

proteins in urine cam occur due to many causes....In pregnancy it is highly suggestive of pre eclampsia which has detrimental to mother and baby so anti hypertendive medication is given...you have not not mentioned which medicine so it is difficult to say whether they were responsible for increased alt for not. ...
increased alt is also seen poat any surgery ..liver toxicity ...muscle breakdown...heart condition. ..I'd you do not have any symptoms don't worry and repeat investigation after 4 was. .If it is still increaseductive further investigations are needed to determine the cause
