Can Prolonged Exposure To Paint Fumes Effect The Health?
I am currently at my job ( I work nights) and recently my employer has been upgrading our office space ( Painting ). It started on the North side of the building and I can honestly say, the paint fumes did not really seem to reach this area of the building. However, they painted the next general offices right down the hall from ours and the smell is very over whelming. I am normally congested and yet when I entered the work placed, the smell of the fumes was immediately noticable. Now here it is less than an hour later and my head is hurting and my breathing is slightly labored ( I can feel a different than normal feeling in my lungs as I inhale). Please advise, would continued prolonged exposure during the course of just this work week have a long term effect on my health. The office has no open windows and virtually no fresh air ventilation.

Can Prolonged Exposure To Paint Fumes Effect The Health?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic If you continue to be exposed to the paint fumes then it is likely that the symptoms would continue or worsen. It is important the area is ventilated to reduce your exposure or speak to your boss about your concerns. The effects of the paint exposure would likely be short term and should not have long term consequences. I hope this helps
