Dear Priya,

Whether you have undergone any abortion in your past life or not cannot be said 100% by clinical examination. However, during first pregnancy, certain changes occur in the body which are permanent and the body does not revert back entirely to a non-pregnant state. They are:

1. The colour of nipples and areola gets darkened. Depending upon the complexion of the skin and the original colour of areola, it may become brown to almost black.

2. The size of the uterus becomes little bulker than the original size.

3. The mouth of the uterus has an opening called as external cervical os. In virgin, it is pinpoint. Once due to any reason, the os gets opened, then it becomes slit like.

So these changes if looked for specifically may reveal that either you were pregnant previously or for some reason or other, the mouth of the uterus has opened previously.

I hope this should clarify your doubts.
