Can Positive Test For Chlamydia Lead To HIV?

Positive for chlamydia, does that mean herpes or hiv too?

Ok, so this November(2010) my boyfriend(of 2 months) and I were experiencing some problems, he was having an itchy urethra and I was having an itchy and painful "front and back." No sores, no discharge, nothing like that, just really annoying itching and pain. We'd had unprotected sex, "in both areas"(yes I know:( it's bad), and we knew that something was wrong.I know that STD's sometimes have the same symptoms, so I have been tested for all except HIV or Herpes. 2 months before I met my boyfriend, I had been tested for HIV and other STD's and I was negative, he'd never had an STD in his life(He's had so many tests)... Sooo, on (Nov 29) I went to the doctor to get tested for STD's, I came back positive for chlamydia(2 days later) SIDE NOTE: I tried to ask my doctor about the symptoms of herpes, he automatically said, "No, it's chlamydia." Like he didn't even wanna here it Lol. When he examined me two days ago he said everything looked normal inside and out soo I mean he didn't even question about doing a herpes test, and I know the symptoms of chlamydia can be like herpes or HIV and I know I don't have anything else because I was tested for everything and Chlamydia was the only one that came back positive... Now durning those two months before I met my boyfriend, I'd been with two ppl, (one I'd known and slept with for years and I'd been tested(STD & HIV) after being with him, and the other one was definitely not infected(and I got tested after being with him too(STD HIV), so I know I didn't get anything from them. So now my bf is going to the STD clinic on Monday(Dec 6), and they do HIV results right there, what if we have HIV? What if we have herpes??? I don't see anything, and I know ppl can be infected without symptoms. He doesn't see anything either. He hasn't even felt anything for a week, and my doc didn't even seemed phased by my worry...What if we are those kind of people? Everyone says I am over reacting and that I just need to get treated and be more careful. (I was prescribed 10 day doxycycl hyc 100mg caps), and hopefully that works. What if it doesn't? I am really worried. Am I worrying too much? Someone talk to me asap plz.

P.S.

I also had leg pain, back pain, weird foot sensations like being cold and burning at times, it's still going on. I started the first pill of doxyc so hopefully this all works out. But I heard that herpes causes the back, leg, and foot stuff, but every symptom I've read, I end up getting..(It is Dec. 13 now and leg pain is gone, but severe back pain came, lower and upper, sick to the stomach, feeling lump on the side of my stomach, period like cramps- could it have been the doxycy?) My bf said he hasn't felt anything since he took the pills after i got diagnosed with chlamydia, I still feel the same... I have a docs appt Dec 14, I don't know, can I be worrying too much. Ugh, I don't know. I go back in ten days, and I'm going to demand HSV and HIV tests

Hello
You mentioned that you were tested for CHLAMYDIA .
So first of all I want to tell you something about chlamydia :
Most frequently reported infectious disease.
Causes multiple complication , especially in females as:
PID ( Pelvic inflammatory disease , in your case back pain , leg pain may be due to PID)
Facilitates HIV transmission.
Symptoms are;
Cervicitis , Urethritis, endometritis & salpingitis , perihepatitis.
You are taking doxycyclin 100 mg , whether it is effective or not effective .
But in my opinion the drug of choice is "AZITHROMYCIN" 1000 mg ( 1 gm) orally in a single dose or doxycyclin 100 mg orally twice in day for 7-10 days.
Cure rate is 98% and 97% respectively in above treatment.
Sex partner management
Sex partners in the past 60 days should be evaluated and treated.
But still I recommend you please get Western blot ( nucleic acid amplification ) test for HIV confirmation as this is most sensitive and specific test.
Truth is that you must believe your treating physician .
Hope this will help you.
Good luck.
