Can Pneumonitis Cause Blood In Saliva?

Hi,
My uncle is having blood in saliva from last one week. we check with doctor and they suggest CT scan, the report seams normal and impression is pneumonitis. SERUM is 1.1 MG that's anormal. could you please suggest the reason behind thanks --faseeh!

Dear it may be due to

1.possible upper respiratory infection.(pharyngitis, tonscillitis)
2.Acute bronchitis which may lead hemoptysis.
3.Sinusitis may cause blood in sputam.
4. Pneumonia or pulmonary embolism.

So he may need complete evaluation. Take complete course of antibiotic still not improved He may need upper GI scopy and bronchoscopy evaluation.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
