Can Playing Football Is Fine After Tympanoplastie Surgery?

Hello, My Name is Juan, and I had a question about My Surgery I recently had, see I had A Tympanoplasti done in my left ear, i was just wondering will i able 2 play American Football After my recovery?

Hello,
You could definitely play football ,but after complete recovery.
Tympanoplasty would not cause any problem in foot ball playing.
But for the ear to heal it takes around 3 months .
Till then try to prevent water entering the ear and avoid loud music .
Try to avoid playing for around 3 months , till then the graft placed to cover the perforation of the ear drum would be set .
As playing causes the pressure development in middle part of ear and till the graft settles down this change of pressure could cause displacement of the graft.
