Can Pacemaker Be Removed If Thyroid Is Fully Treated?
Hello, after ten years of having a pacemaker the Doctors at the Mayo agree that my wife doesn't need a pacemaker at all. After getting her Thyroid treated she stopped pacing. What if anything should we be concerned with when it is removed?
If the heart beat is very much regular and no arrhythmia is there, conduction is functioning well, then it does not need any pacemaker, if the heart beat is irregular because of thyroid disease still it does not need pacemaker, if this is bradycardia and the cause of this is within the heart conduction system then it of course need pacing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
