Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

If thrombosis is acute workout is not permitted as it may lead to release of thrombus into blood and thromboembolism. But if thrombosis is chronic workout may be permitted only after all investigation.

Recent ultrasound Doppler examination of both lower limbs should be done to assess status of vessels and clot. Visit to vascular surgeon is must to get proper advise. Upper limb exercises can be done as they are normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
